Joss Stone "Put Your Hands On Me"

She sounds completely overwhelmed by infatuation, and totally amped to be singing. Her pure pleasure in the act of performing is obvious and it elevates a song that would otherwise just be pretty good to something kinda thrilling and special.

Joss Stone "Put Your Hands On Me"

The Saints Are Coming

It was first released in the somewhere in the 70s and then remastered and made a hit in 2006. The U2 and Green Day version of “The Saints Are Coming” can now be found also over the radios in Romania, becoming an instant hit.

The story of the song starts somewhere in the 70s as it was first released by The Skids and became quite popular at that time. Then, in end of 2006, U2 and Green Day played a remake of that hit in the opening baseball game in Louisiana, giving the song a two-faced meaning: first is a song played in the memory of the victims of the Katrina hurricane and second it became the opening song for all the games of the New Orleans Saints baseball team.

The video also features an interesting footage of the army deploying help for the victims of the floods - but the images are actually not reflecting the reality, they are just arranged in such a way to give an indication of how things should be done and is actually a criticism to the Bush administration for not taking firmer action in helping the Katrina victims.

Overall, the song is an excellent one, where two bands joined forces for creating an amazing spectacle. The song can be downloaded here and this is the video.

Jackson `evaluating' Las Vegas offers

Michael Jackson is "reviewing and evaluating" proposals for his future including several offers to perform in Las Vegas, his spokeswoman said Tuesday, but he doesn't feel any pressure to make a quick decision.

Raymone K. Bain confirmed that, after a period of globe-trotting, Jackson is currently living in Las Vegas.

"Mr. Jackson has been presented numerous proposals — proposals which he has not solicited, but were presented to him, several of which include performing in Las Vegas," Bain said in a press release. "Mr. Jackson is currently reviewing and evaluating each proposal. He does not believe that he is under any time constraint for making his decisions."

No details of the offers were released. Bain could not be immediately reached by phone.

The release was issued to counteract a number of false rumors, she stated, including one that Jackson has failed to find a Las Vegas casino for a show and another that he would soon appear on "American Idol."

"Mr. Jackson did not move to Las Vegas to shop a Vegas show," Bain said. "Mr. Jackson is in Las Vegas because he likes the city and found it a convenient location to record with the artists, songwriters and producers who are working with him in the studio."

Bain dismissed the "Idol" report.

"Mr. Jackson has no current plans to appear or perform on `American Idol,'" she said.

The pop icon took up residence in Las Vegas a few months ago after traveling in Europe, living in the Middle Eastern kingdom of Bahrain and then moving to Ireland. He still maintains his Neverland ranch in Santa Ynez, Calif., but he has not lived there since shortly after he was acquitted of child molestation charges in a sensational trial in 2005.
